About us
S&R Sweeps is set up and run by two brothers Sean & Ryan Goodwin. We were raised in Saffron Walden and both now live in nearby villages (Hadstock and Cornish Hall End). We have successfully completed the extensive and nationally recognised Guild of Master Chimney Sweeps training programme, meaning we are trained to the highest professional standards within the chimney sweeping industry. Additionally, we have also undertaken and successfully completed a local power sweeping course.

Our comprehensive sweep service includes a thorough safety inspection from the appliance (fire/stove) up to the terminal (chimney pot), the sweep and vacuum, and a smoke draw test (if appropriate). We will also assist/advise on any remedial work that might be required. A certificate of chimney sweeping will be issued

OPEN FIRES
Open Fires should be swept at least once a year or twice a year in heavy use (unless your house insurance advises it to be done more frequently).
WOOD / MULTIFUEL STOVE
Stoves should be swept at least once a year or twice a year in heavy use (unless your installer /house insurance advises for it to be done more frequently).
Pricing
- Chimney sweep Open Fire, Wood burning stove or Aga – £75.00
- Inglenook – £95.00
- Birds Nest Removal – £100.00 (for the first hour, then £30.00 per every 30 minutes afterwards)
- Rope repair for stoves – £30.00
